Annebé Brouwer
Charles Curtin
Matt Ball
Consolidating her career at David Chipperfield Architects in London with work on public space at the UN and the World Bank in Washington DC, South Africa and Kosovo, Annebé is interested in creating accessible and high-quality spaces that empower communities. She focuses on raw materials of the earth and working with local people, histories and craft. She sees architecture as a means to contribute to our collective sense of agency and our cultural, social, and environmental legacy.
Currently teaching at UTS and the University of Sydney, Charles collaborates with academics and practitioners in research, stories, films, competitions, exhibitions, public buildings, and housing. Charles looks to operate between research and architectural production to find models of practicing meaningfully amid the cultural, environmental, and financial challenges facing architects today. He values shaping both architectural form and culture as vehicles for improving the human environment.
With over 20 years of experience, including 14 years as a Director at David Chipperfield Architects in London, Matt has led a wide range of projects, from 200k m2 office buildings in Seoul to art museums and private residences in London. He approaches architecture as a craftsman, designing through making, sketching, and drawing. Matt lives and breathes his art; there is nothing he enjoys more and is better at than creating beauty out of space.
Nettie Ni
Taewon Park
Yachi Wang
Nettie is an interdisciplinary designer, a curious child in architecture. Currently teaching Design Studios at UTS and the University of Sydney, she is enchanted by spatial qualities and architectural phenomenology. To Nettie, architecture is a lens through to which speculate upon cultural and social phenomena. Moving forward from the Royal College of Art and David Chipperfield Architects in London, the next destination encompasses research into craftsmanship and its relationship to cultural environments.
Taewon, a RIBA and ARB registered architect in the UK, delves deeply into the narrative and typological exploration of architecture. His work transcends the boundaries of mere functionality, embracing a more profound contemplation of generic architecture. Taewon is committed to reimagining pre-defined spaces and challenging conventional spatial elements, encouraging a departure from traditional architectural thought and fostering a more nuanced discourse in the field.
Yachi's design language is concise yet impactful, layering subtle details and philosophical nuances within the interiors she creates. She is known for her keen ability to listen and uncover her clients' deepest needs, always approaching each project with a focus on the functionality and practicality of space. Yachi graduated from Zhejiang University of Science and Technology and furthered her studies in Decorative History and Furniture History at Parsons School of Design in New York.
